Hi!
As a kid I also
hear many opinions regarding drugs. I don’t remember what people, my family
mostly sais about them, but I think it was the usual thing to say “don’t do
drugs, there’re bad for your health, they make you addict, etc”. I remember when I was 9 years old I buy a bracelet
for a friend I had at that time with a marihuana draw on it. A that age I didn’t
know what it was, I only thought it was a cute plant. My father saw the
bracelet and ask me what was I gonna do with it, I told him it was a gift. Then
he says to me what that drawing means and that my friend’s parents wouldn’t be
happy if their daughter used that drawing on her wrist. Finally, I gave up on
giving the bracelet and I throw it away because I felt so bad for buying such
thing. That’s when I learned what marihuana was and that it was a “bad” thing.
(Bold of my father to said that to me because now on days we smoke together,
but I guess he had to put an image for his 9 years old child).
Moving on, I
also think drugs used is influence by a western point of view. Regarding to
medical use, not only the medical drugs are relegated to the background but
also other plants that ancient cultures used to heal people. It the common
thing to trust more in a pill and what a doctor has to say than what our own
bodies are trying to say to us and the use we can give to the nature earth has
to offer.
That story about the bracellet reminds me of my school times. When I was like twelve, all the girls (including me of course) were wearing a choker with a marijuana leave pendant lol :') It's so funny now that I think of it
ResponderEliminarI think the same!, the story of bracellet was fun
ResponderEliminarMost of the time the things we know about drugs are the ones that people usually tells, but crazy thing... a lot of that things are a lie and we discover that when we are adults, and some people never do. We need to make our own opinion (objective and with facts in hand) about these things
