Post 9: Change to my study
programme
Since I’m only on my first year of
college I haven’t had many coursers yet to realize if some coursers are missing
or if they aren’t relevant for the devolvement of the career. So far I been
hating to have “ayudantías” in every single course that I have. I mean, most of
them are fine and they help because we do lots of assignment that sometimes
help to understand better the subject matter, but it just takes so much time to
do an assignment once a week for every course, considering that minimal we have
six per semester. And also there’s the fact that if I have a bad grade on them –the
ayudantías- I have to take an exam in order to pass the course even though I
could have a good grade on the cathedra and pass the subject with the two of
them averaged. Other than that I think
is fine. We do have many subject and the all are very different each other but
I think it’s necessary for the reaches Geography has.
Speaking of the faculty facilities
I have a lot to say. I think the faculty leaves much to be desired. For me the
hygienic conditions are terrible, memorable are the cases of the pigeon that
was hanging of its head for almost two months in the roof of one of the blocks.
Or the fact that pigeons enter and leave whenever they feel like it from the dining
hall where the food it’s been made and leave shit all over the place.
I’m running out of words, but
finally I want to talk about teachers in general. Even when I’ve had teachers
that are excellent in what they do and know so much about the subject they do,
I think their teaching skills aren’t that great Just because one person has a
PhD it doesn’t mean that person it’s qualify to teach students. They ought to
have a proper preparation regarding teaching.
Rest in Peace little pigeon, icon of the decadence of this faculty
